Managing Director

Andrew Holland

Andrew's career in internal and corporate communications spans 25 years and comprises some of the world's most recognised brands including BAE Systems, Heathrow Airport and British Gas (Centrica).

Andrew has a deep understanding of the communication skills and competencies managers, communication professionals and in fact anyone with a communication responsibility need to survive.

Andrew is a CTI qualified Co-Active coach and has completed the NLP Core Skills programme. He regularly coaches professionals to help them progress in their careers.

Head of Recruitment

Rebecca Tarry

Rebecca heads up our recruitment offering. She has enjoyed an illustrious career in internal communications spanning more than 20 years, working for some impressive brands including Barclays, which she joined on the graduate scheme, the BBC and Hill & Knowlton Strategies, before starting her second career in recruitment 14 years ago, culminating in the launch of Comms Leaders in 2015.
 

Rebecca focuses on senior-level roles as well as offering exceptional career coaching support and advice to communication practitioners, especially those who are between roles or seeking to develop their career further.

Recruitment Consultant (External Communications)

Joanne Watkins

Joanne has 14 years' experience in recruitment, specialising in external communications, with a focus on corporate and external affairs, policy, marketing communications as well as digital and social media.

She has worked across an extensive range of B2B and B2C sectors, with typical roles ranging from mid- to senior management.

Before her time in recruitment, Joanne held senior in-house positions as well as agency side, in Hong Kong, Boston, New York and London, ensuring she truly understands the opportunities and challenges of the communication profession.

Nicole Utzinger

Nicole has been working as a comms professional and L&D expert for around 30 years, supporting a range of global organisations, in-house and as a consultant.

Nicole has focused her attention on corporate comms, employee engagement, leadership development and change management with emphasis on understanding the psychology and science behind human behaviour. 

Nicole is a certified Co-Active coach and holds a coaching diploma from the Coaches Training Institute, accredited by the International Coaching Federation.

Piers Nutbrown

Piers leads and delivers our communications, marketing and brand strategy, cutting through to build and connect with our network of candidates, clients and subscribers.

After starting his career as a journalist, over the last 20 years Piers’s career has spanned external and internal comms remits, supporting not-for-profit and corporate organisations large and small, global and UK-focused - including leading projects across the globe, from Cairo to Bangkok and Geneva.

Charlote Butler

Charlotte Butler is our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion guru. With over twenty years’ experience in employee engagement and HR, in 2015 Charlotte founded her own consultancy, AltogetherDifferent, specialising in building empathy for diversity, equity and inclusion in workplaces.

Charlotte and her team work with large global clients and smaller UK organisations alike to help them create a more inclusive workplace where everyone can belong.


Charlotte’s immersive and innovative approach to diversity training provides an ‘active ingredient’ that creates meaningful change in workplaces, fast.

Strategy Consultant and Sustainability / Impact Specialist 

Natasha Plowman

Natasha is an associate trainer with Comms Leaders and founder of Spinning Red, her consultancy.

She delivers workshops on Strategy, Sustainability (ESG) and Corporate Purpose. She has worked across communications, corporate and public affairs disciplines. 

A campaigner at heart, Natasha has developed high-profile thought leadership and behavioural change campaigns with the likes of Diageo, HSBC and P&G’s fabric care and beauty brands. Her approach is built on the role reputation plays in driving business success.

Strategy Consultant

Jenni Field

Jenni is an associate consultant for Comms Leaders and an expert in leadership credibility and internal communication. 
 

As the founder of Redefining Communications and co-founder of The Belief Builders, Jenni works with leaders and teams around the world to fix what’s not working in their organisations – from leadership credibility to employee engagement and internal communication strategy.

Before setting up her consultancy, Jenni spent over a decade working in senior in-house communication roles, including as head of internal communications and communications director.

Director of Media Training

Sukhi Hayer

Sukhi is a BJTC qualified practicing journalist (currently a reporter with the BBC in The Midlands), which ensures he has a comprehensive understanding of the current media landscape and is therefore as authentic a media trainer as you can find.

Sukhi has worked across all formats; print, online, press agency and broadcast. He’s covered major events both in news and sport including the Cricket World Cup in India, South Asia Tsunami, Olympics, the 7/7 London terror attacks in 2005, and the 2010 General Election.

Sukhi has a Diploma in coaching from the University of Warwick.

Tony Stewart

Tony (Tones) has enjoyed an extensive in-house career, working in both the public and private sector, supporting organisations including Aviva Investors and NBC Universal.

This experience helped Tony understand how to develop and deliver digital strategies that actually work. He now shares this deep knowledge with some of the world’s highest profile companies, through his own consultancy and as an associate with Comms Leaders, to build and deliver successful digital comms strategies that support business goals and employee engagement ambitions.

Tony delivers his strategy sessions with a personable, enthusiastic and friendly style.

Leadership and Executive Wellness Coach

Louise Baverstock

Louise is a leadership and executive coach and associate trainer with Comms Leaders.

She also delivers a range of training, including the Business Partnering workshop for the Institute of Internal Communication.

Louise enjoyed an extensive in-house career as a senior comms professional before establishing her own business, LBP Wellness, in 2022.


She is a huge advocate of the importance a strategic business partnering role plays in helping senior leaders navigate the complexity of delivering impactful communications in global businesses.

Tim Cook

Tim is an associate with Comms Leaders and founder of AIConfident, a social enterprise seeking to ensure the rapid AI transformation is equitable, by helping leaders across society to responsibly embrace the transformative opportunity presented by AI. 

Tim brings a background of over a decade of applying AI technology to societal challenges in the UK government, and four years setting up the government's Office for Artificial Intelligence.

 

Tim combines this extensive background with his leadership coaching, workshop facilitation and passion for change, to empower leaders to create the environment for responsible, confident use of AI technologies.

Vicki Marinker

Vicki is a career coach who supports communicators to get hired, promoted or change careers with confidence.

 

With a background in PR and over two decades of comms recruitment, Vicki now coaches communication professionals to rebuild their confidence, sharpen their messaging and improve their visibility - to accelerate their career success.

She also trains corporate teams and individuals to use LinkedIn more strategically, and hosts the comms career podcast Don’t Shoot the Messenger.

Chris Crofts

Chris is an associate for Comms Leaders and former director of internal communications for global brands including Aviva, Diageo and HSBC.

Starting her career as a statistician for the 
Ministry of Defence while funding her PR diploma, Chris combines analytical rigor with communications expertise. She has championed a data-first mindset throughout her leadership roles, embedding measurement and insight into strategy.

Chris also teaches the 
Institute of Internal Communication's Data and Insights course. She has earned multiple industry awards for campaigns and team excellence - success driven by measurable outcomes and strategic impact.

Neurodiversity Consultant

Jessie Hewitson

Jessie Hewitson is a journalist, co-founder of NeuroUniverse, and Comms Leaders associate trainer. 

 

Through her work, she supports organisations and families — including Macmillan Cancer Support — to better understand and support neurodivergent adults and children. She’s autistic and an ADHDer, and the SEND agony aunt for The Times and The Sunday Times. 

 

Jessie is the author of the bestselling books How to Raise a Happy Autistic Child — one of the first mainstream books to explore autism in the context of neurodiversity — and How to Raise a Happy ADHD Child.

Rachael Pearson

Rachael has spent over a decade helping the world's biggest brands engage their audiences and deliver meaningful results through unforgettable live events and experiences.
 

Partnering with FTSE 250 clients from every sector, she's an expert in designing events that make messages land and stories stick. From crafting global CEO keynotes to developing interactive breakouts for large-scale conferences and immersive brand experiences, she's passionate about bringing audiences closer to the action.
 

Known for generating fresh ideas and making them happen, she bridges the gap between event strategy, production and flawless on-the-day execution. Rachael is just as comfortable working with senior stakeholders to shape the narrative of an event, as she is calling the show from behind the tech desk.
