Neurodiverse Confident

Delivered by Jessie Hewitson, Neurodiversity Consultant
Our Neurodiverse Confident workshop provides training for corporate communication teams, managers and senior leaders on how to support neurodivergent employees. It’s an immersive workshop that looks at both the practical methods of support and the legal responsibilities involved.
The workshop covers:
• What is autism, ADHD and dyslexia?
• How neurodivergent employees can offer a competitive advantage for your business
• What support an autistic/ADHD/dyslexic colleague might need
• Practical examples of support tailored to your organisation
• How to give feedback, carry out a PDR and generally communicate effectively with a neurodivergent employee
• How to assess an employee’s working style and barriers to someone doing their best work
• What is a reasonable adjustment for support and what is an unreasonable request for support
• Other legal responsibilities that managers have to be aware of
• What to do if you think a person you are managing is neurodivergent but you are not sure and they haven’t disclosed anything
• Why we should care about supporting neurodivergent colleagues
Learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop, delegates will feel confident in how best to support
neurodivergent employees and ensure these employees can give their best contribution to your organisation’s success.
Delegates will have gained a framework that will give them confidence having the right conversations around support, knowing the common barriers to success and gaining new insights and best practice examples of practical adjustments that can be made.
