Senior Internal Comms Manager, Utilities

Ref: RTIC299
Location: South Coast of England/hybrid
Salary: up t0 £70k
Permanent

A brilliant opportunity to take on an internal comms leadership role within a challenging utilities environment, offering hybrid working, great access to senior leaders (including a new CEO who is a great comms advocate), and the chance to shape the strategy and channels.

With a team of three, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of internal comms across a remote audience of around 2,000 staff in the South of England. You will have a love of storytelling, engagement and campaigns – whether it’s about opening up digital opportunities for all customers, or shouting about incredible community projects – and will have some strong experience of working across a disparate and varied audience.

Experience of working in a fast-paced, issues-rich and regulated environment would be great, as well as an awareness of the challenges of a 24/7 business.

Flexibility is key for this role – you’ll be expected to be in an office (there are many in the South of England) for around 2 days per week, but you can choose these days (and will occasionally have to flex up a bit if the business requires). You’ll need to have a car as many of the offices are not near to public transport. They would consider a 4-day week for the right candidate.

To apply, please email rebecca@commsleaders.co.uk, including your CV, a short cover note and current/last salary information.

You will enjoy building relationships with journalists and know how to handle a crisis.

Experience of working in a fast-paced, issues-rich and regulated environment, or a PR agency would be great, as well as an awareness of the challenges of a 24/7 operational business.

Flexibility is key for this role – you will be expected to be in an office (there are many in the South of England) for around 2 days per week, but you can choose these days (and will have to be flexible if the business requires).
