Director of Communications and Brand

Our client, an impressive AIM-listed business services firm, is seeking its first Director of Corporate Communications & Brand, to help build and enhance the reputation of the business externally and develop a leading internal communications and EVP strategy internally.

Based across over 70 locations internationally and operating in 14 markets, this is a significant business with ambitious growth plans.

This role will have responsibility for all internal and external communications as well as investor relations (although this won’t be a large part of the role). The role manages a direct team of 3, with a further 3 dotted line reports in from some of the larger businesses in the group. There is also a community of communicators to influence.

You will be working with the leadership team and CEO daily so will need to be confident in your ability and able to influence at all levels within the organisation. Ideally, this will be the perfect next career step for someone who has managed Corporate Comms for a division of a FTSE or equivalent, or who has been a Corporate Communications deputy within a smaller FTSE 350 or AIM-listed business and is looking to develop into the number 1 job.

You have to be agile, keen to grow as the role and business expands, passionate about the impact that great comms can have both internally and externally, and willing to be working highly strategically one minute and immersed in tactical delivery the next. As such the role needs someone who is flexible, creative, and agile.

Internal Communications Manager, Private Equity

Rare opportunity to join a mid-sized organisation as their first internal comms manager – a clean slate to set comms up, run the strategy and deliver on it. Our client is a global leading private equity firm specialising in sustainable infrastructure in emerging markets, primarily in Latin America, Asia and Africa. You’ll be working across the global employee base to set up internal comms channels, manage the strategy, and coach senior leaders.

You should have good international internal comms experience, be willing to roll your sleeves up (this is not purely a strategic role), and have an entrepreneurial spirit. An interest in the renewables/energy sector would be great, but no private equity experience is required. This is a brilliant opportunity to step up into a stand-alone role within a growing business. Employee Communications and Engagement Manager, Retail

An incredible opportunity to join one of the oldest and most iconic global retail brands as a comms and engagement manager (c. 9 months FTC). You will lead internal comms and engagement across this global organisation, developing strategies and bringing the brand to life from the inside out.

With the support of two direct reports, you will work closely with HR and the Executive team to design events, channels, and experiences that drive forward employee engagement and support an environment of sustainable performance.

If you’ve been working in a comms role for a few years and want to step up into a busy, varied, high-profile role that will give you experience in a variety of different sectors, and complex transformation projects, then this is the one for you.

Our client, a global professional services firm, is looking for three senior consultants to join their very successful comms and engagement team. You will be working with a wide range of clients, across the full range of comms – but with a primary focus on change, internal comms and engagement.

You will need to be very comfortable navigating your way around large complex organisations, with proven experience of working in that type of environment. Resilience and flexibility will be key to success in this role, as well as being able to translate comms theory into practice. The role is London-based, but with flexibility. There may be a need to travel to client sites.
